Book Trailers
What is a Book Trailer?
Have you ever seen a movie trailer? It is not the movie, but a taste of the movie. It does not tell the whole story and never tells the surprise
ending. Book Trailers are like that. It is more like a commercial for the book.
This is not a book report. it is an old fashion book talk. After watching a good book trailer, the audience will want to read the book. Using text, images, music, or more students will produce a short book trailer usually 3 or less minutes in length. It is more like a long commercial for the book.
These can take many formats and can be produced on and off line. Some gather pictures that match the story line, some produce avatars to demo the featured book or show the main characters. Some use voice overs, sound effects, and music. Name of the book, author, and where to find it are included in the trailer. This is a great time to talk about Copyright laws and how it applies to this project.
